Alex was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and it was there that he began his acting career.  Professionally, Alex made his stage debut at the age of thirteen in a local murder mystery dinner theatre. But, if you ask his parents, his career began much earlier when he would recite from memory an entire Winnie the Pooh movie from start to finish, with the appropriate voices mind you.

Alex is a proud graduate of Missouri State University with a B.F.A in Acting. There he studied Voice and Movement with Maggie Marlin-Hess and Acting with Kurt Heinlein and Sarah Wiggin, as well as Shakespeare. Through the careful guidance of his university Alex has also had opportunities to study with Kyle Dean Massey, Joey Contreras, and Natalie Wiess.  Alex performed in City of Angels, Tartuffe, A Midsummer Nights Dream, and most recently Uncle Vanya. These performances would reveal that Alex's type is the comedic distinguished gentleman in a period piece.  A modern day Oscar Wilde if you will.

Other credits include: Into the Woods (Narrator), All of Us - World Premier (Nick), Curtains (Christopher Belling),12 Angry Jurors, (Juror #8), Oscar and Felix (Felix Ungar), Anything Goes (Lord Evelyn Oakliegh), Diary of Anne Frank (Otto Frank), Triumph of Love (Hermocrate), Hairspray (Edna Turnblad), Steel Magnolias (Clairee Belcher), Cinderella (Lionel), The Yellow Boat (Benjamin Saar),Throughly Modern Millie, Once Upon a Mattress, Annie Get Your Gun.
